About the Espresso Machine

Lelit has successfully met its goal with the Mara: to combine top-of-the-line technology with a compact design. This machine is perfect for serious home baristas who prioritize functionality over unnecessary extras, especially in limited spaces. The Mara Espresso Machine features a 1.5L copper boiler with heat exchanger and the reliable E61 group head, commonly found on high-end espresso machines. To enhance this strong foundation, Lelit adds convenient details like easy-to-use knobs and separate steam and water wands to prevent burns. Additionally, it comes equipped with a double manometer for monitoring steam and boiler pressure, and the P62T version (selectable from the drop down menu) improves temperature control and offers the ability to adjust group temperature using a PID controller.

Comparing the PL62 & PL62T versions of the Mara

We currently have two options available for the Lelit Mara: the PL62 and PL62T. The main distinction between them is that the PL62T comes equipped with an onboard PID controller for the brew boiler. This allows you to directly adjust the brewing water’s temperature, resulting in increased precision. Additionally, it should provide improved temperature consistency. Both versions of the Lelit Mara are capable of producing superb coffee, but if you desire to play around with temperature or further refine your extractions, the PID may be a valuable addition for you.
